My Quarantine Birthday

I am a Mother’s Day Baby. I LOVE celebrating my birthday. This is the one day of the year dedicated to me.

Many people don’t get to live until their birthday, so I celebrate Every year!

This year was different, as I didn’t get to celebrate the way I wanted to.

I wanted to go to a Karaoke Bar and dinner to celebrate with my friends and family, but of course to this unfortunate event I couldn’t do that. I started doing little things from May 1st until my actual day, like treating myself to online gifts.

I did a birthday photo shoot with my cousin one day since we both had birthdays coming up. Then I did another one closer to my day with my mom, which was quite amusing. I wanted her to get perfect angles, so I climbed a ledge. Although she told me not to go up, I still proceeded, as I wanted to get a good picture. As soon, as I got up, I fell down and landed on my arms. When I looked, my legs, arms, belly and thighs were all scratched up. My mom told me not to, but I was stubborn and still went up. She was scared, as I could have broken a bone, but started laughing because I was so confident nothing would happen.

On my birthday my mom got me an ice-cream cake from Baskin Robbins, and I just celebrated with my family and my best friend and ate it. It was a basketball Strawberry cake to commence my 23rd Birthday. I enjoyed being with the family and just being able to relax. It was different because I’m usually not home for my birthday, I’m usually out all day!

I had some friends stop by on my porch, to wish me Happy Birthday, which was nice. I wanted to hug all of them, but it ended up being a social distance visit.

I wanted to have my friends and family still around me, so I decided to do a birthday party on Zoom. A lot of my friends attended, and we just partied while my friend Dj’d for me.

It was a different way of celebrating, but I still enjoyed my day and all the company I got.

Thank you everyone that helped me celebrate!
